XRP Whales Move Multi-Million Tokens As They Struggle For Almost $ 1

Today, Whale Alert reported several significant XRP transactions as the crypto token remains below $ 1. At the time of writing, XRP maintains a 24-hour range of $ 0.83 and $ 0.86 on CoinGecko.

Over 300 million XRP on the move

That being said, one of the major transfers was 177,149,680 XRP tokens worth approximately $ 149,186,279 which were processed between unknown wallets. Prior to that, a similar transaction worth approximately $ 151,262,681 took place which moved 177,149,701 XRP tokens.

Additionally, two major transfers have been made to exchanges namely FTX and Bithumb. Where, the crypto exchange Gopax made a transfer of 50,083,908 XRP to FTX, and in another transfer 70,000,000 XRP was transferred internally between Bithumb.

Meanwhile, the total trade volume is estimated at nearly $ 650 million at the time of publication.

We must also reiterate that XRP has not been able to maintain a bullish rally over the past four months to hit a new ATH. As the coin remains below $ 1, XRP has returned 298.6% in the past year. As its monthly and weekly returns are both unimpressive at over -15% on CoinGecko.

“Ripple’s strongest year”

Despite the slow price of XRP and a lawsuit with the SEC, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently called 2021 the strongest year. He Noted in a series of tweets which,

“Proud to say that it was @Ripplestrongest year ever (XRP-based on-demand liquidity payments account for 25% of dollar volume on RippleNet, and ODL txns are 25 times higher from Q3 2020 and 130% QoQ ). “

Apart from that, he also viewed the year as a time when “acceptance and awareness” around crypto was most evident in the global financial community. He added,

“It was amazing to see a lot less ‘maximalism’ and a lot more builders joining the industry. “

However, Arcane’s recent analysis for XRP isn’t all that brilliant. He noted in his 2022 prediction that XRP will drop out of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap, along with Cardano.

That being said, let’s also take a look at the co-founder of Ripple and his first CTO, as well as the founder of Stellar, the balance of Jed McCaleb’s wallet. There have been no sells since August and the balance would remain 709 911 634 XRP on the live charts. Meanwhile, his “tacostand” wallet is officially missing.
