Ever since he first set foot on Alpha Earth, French Sentinel Agent Chamber has dominated the Valorant meta. Boasting an insane 80% pick rate at VCT Masters Copenhagen, Riot is looking to make some much-needed changes to the dominant weapons manufacturer.

As stage two of Riot Games’ Valorant Champions Tour comes to a dramatic end, there’s one agent who’s been on everyone’s lips; Bedroom.

Whether it’s because the pros messed around with the French Sentinel or you encountered him on the equally controversial Pearl map in your ranked games, you’ve no doubt wanted to flip your desk and smack the screen when you hear this taunt “you want to play? Let’s play.”

With an 80% pick rate at the Copenhagen Masters (well above second-place Raze, who’s at 51.43%), and a slew of players constantly harassing Riot to nerf the sassy shooter, it looks like our prayers have finally been answered: room changes are coming.

As the players took Reddit to discuss the Chamber situation, game designer Valorant Penguin was quick to address concerns.

Writing “I won’t swing with a hammer right before [VCT] Champions (or hopefully not at all)”, they reveal “I will be shipping more balance changes in general over the next few months, but these are a lot of obvious changes that probably should have shipped alongside the trap change in 4.09. ”

“Balance changes are still comingTM, I just didn’t want people to think I’m coming after character kneecaps or anything,” they continue, quoting the original comment and joking, “‘ destroying Chamber’s career feels like a mafia stunt.

With Champions taking place September 2-18 in Istanbul, it looks like we’ll be waiting a while for significant changes. With no way to ban the character, it looks like players will just have to learn how to play with him for now.
