The wonders of Tiny Tina players received a free Skeleton Key code this weekend as an apology for the server issues surrounding the game’s launch. The game was released on Friday with full cross-play support on all available platforms, but players quickly discovered that they were unable to play with each other due to issues with SHiFT, the online service used by Gearbox to connect players with each other. However, this free Skeleton Key code has an expiration date, so players only have a limited time to use it while waiting for others to come after it.
The SHiFT Status Twitter account tweeted about the connection issues throughout Friday afternoon to update players, but it wasn’t until Friday night that the issues were reportedly resolved with the rollout of patches. As a token of appreciation for those waiting for the issues to be fixed, Gearbox tweeted the code for the Skeleton Key from the studio’s official Twitter account on Friday.
To show our appreciation for everyone’s patience during today’s launch:
Here is a SHiFT code for 1 skeleton key for @PlayWonderlands which will expire on March 27 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

To use this Skeleton Key, you will first need to go to the “Social” menu in the game, then head to the “SHiFT” tab. Enter B36T3-KSZ6F-K5TKK-JJ3B3-B6B3J and you should see a confirmation that you received a skeleton key. Now head to your “Mail” tab and confirm that you want to receive the key. Once you’ve done all of this, head to Brighthoof through normal story progression until you see the large chest in the center of town marked on your map. It can only be opened with Skeleton Keys and will contain coveted loot.
This code expires on March 27, so you only have one more day to redeem it before it’s gone. While you’re here to redeem your codes, be sure to get the one that Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford tweeted this week by entering JBRTT-BZH6F-CC3W5-3TTTB-XB9HH before March 31st.

While skeleton keys like this will likely be given out fairly frequently in the first few weeks of The wonders of Tiny Tina being available, you might want to consider saving one or two and not using them all immediately after redeeming them. The loot you get is scaled to your level, so if you use too many keys at once, you’ll end up with more loot than you can use before you pass beyond its usefulness.
