The Elder Scrolls Online High Isle launch delayed by server issues, causing extended downtime for NA PC

Server issues affecting The Elder Scrolls Online delayed the launch of high island and Update 34 on the North American PC Megaserver.

Originally scheduled to launch at 9:00 a.m. EDT, the update was pushed back several times, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., then to 3:00 p.m., and now it’s at 5:00 p.m. after another expansion. ESO is no stranger to server stability issues, especially with the NA PC Megaserver. Although recent investigations and fixes after discovering issues with older hardware have also been resolved, along with some additional efforts.

After server instability and bugs affected the 2020 launch of the Greymoor chapter, the elder scrolls online the team is committed to doing better and improving infrastructure. black wood launched with its own issues, although eventually there were several advisories and updates on ongoing stability and performance work.

During extended downtime, Community Manager Gina Bruno detailed some of what the team is working to fix and why this attention is needed:

The database issues we investigated were causing issues such as guilds, mail or could even affect your ability to log in so this is our top priority to resolve, we will continue to update everyone in this thread.
