Dream, GeorgeNotFound, Sapnap and Karl Jacobs tease Dream SMP Minecraft Server Season 2

During the last installment of To joke podcast, co-hosts GeorgeNotFound, Sapnap and Karl Jacobs were joined by Minecraft star dream. The group discussed many topics, among them the Dream SMP Minecraft server, of which they are all members.

After reflecting on the Dream SMP’s past, Jacobs pushed the band to talk about what’s to come in the future. Although Dream previously teased that something big will change the Dream SMP forever, no further details have been given following this reveal so far.

“There is going to be a season two,” Dream began by reiterating before officially revealing that the next events for the server are set to begin this month.

The Minecraft star was deliberately vague because he didn’t want to say too much, though Jacobs pushed for more information and mentioned a new set of general “rules” and “rule changes” under which the server will operate.

“Those are some of the most exciting parts for me,” Jacobs said of the mysterious new rules that will be implemented at the start of season two.

While still wary of revealing more and giving too much too soon, Dream confirmed that under the new rules there will be “activity requirements” for all creators who are part of the server. This has been a common feature with other SMPs to ensure they stay active, the server stays fresh, and creators create new content regularly.

Dream also stated that these requirements would even apply to him, which is particularly interesting given that fans of the Dream SMP have never seen his canonical character’s point of view before outside of a small YouTube video that he did. he realized. His character is the main antagonist of the server, but that could change drastically depending on the big event coming up on the server.

“I think a lot of the fun was just, I know it sounds stupid, people are getting in on it,” Jacobs said of what the Minecraft was the server and what he thinks the upcoming changes will bring back.

“I think there’s something very special about that,” Jacobs added. “So many viewers really appreciate that and I think that’s something that lately has kind of been lacking.”

The Dream SMP used to be an animated server with so many streamers at once that any of the creators could just jump in and figure out what to do from there. They could, as GeorgeNotFound said, “just get along and have fun with people” without giving too much thought or analysis to how their actions might affect the canonical lore of the server.

“At the time, I literally wanted to go live, hop on the server, and then figure out what was going on,” Sapnap agreed. “And I would just, like, do anything.”

The Minecraft The server has been less active for a while now, with many fans even worrying that it’s over for good. Although the members of the server have definitely confirmed that this is not the case, they also expressed that the fact that the server is too fixated on lore has put pressure on each of them and has led everyone to be less active.

What started out as a very improvised and spur-of-the-moment based Minecraft The server slowly grew into the more rigid role-playing centric server it is known as today. At some point, the creators lost the delicate balance they had between the two and began to experience burnout. But with season two, they hope to regain that balance.

“That’s why I think I’m really excited for season two,” Jacobs said. “I think there will be a lot more of that while having some really cool stories.”

Jacobs also revealed that most of the creators of Dream SMP are working hard on their “respective stories” and most of them are also working together “to make sure season two starts off strong.”

Dream SMP Season 2 Minecraft The server should start in August, but the creators also added that if not, things should definitely move before the end of the year. Most of the creators involved also expressed their excitement on Twitter or during the live stream, so fans can expect to see everyone on the server involved when things officially begin.
