Delhi reports 1,109 new Covid-19 cases, 9 deaths; positivity rate at 11.23%

Delhi recorded 1,109 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, with an 11.23% increased positivity rate and nine deaths from the viral disease, according to data shared by the city’s health department.

With that, Delhi’s case count rose to 19,92,881 and the death toll to 26,420, according to the latest bulletin.

Delhi had recorded 1,417 cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, with a positivity rate of 7.53% and three deaths.

On Thursday, the city recorded 1,964 cases of COVID-19 with a test positivity rate of 9.42% and eight deaths.

Saturday’s new cases came from 9,874 tests carried out the previous day, according to the bulletin.

Eight deaths and 1,652 Covid cases were recorded in the city on Wednesday with a positivity rate of 9.92%.

On Tuesday, the nation’s capital reported 917 Covid cases with a positivity rate of 19.20% and three deaths from the infection.

As of Monday, the city had recorded 1,227 cases with a positivity rate of 14.57%, while eight people died from the disease.

Before that, the city had recorded more than 2,000 cases a day for 12 consecutive days.
